Create your first screening agent
Go from a job description to a live screening agent in a few minutes.
A screening agent is RoundOne's setup for one role. It holds the requirements, decides what is checked on the CV and what is asked on the voice call, and routes candidates as they come in.
Before you begin
- A RoundOne account. Sign in or create one at roundone.ai.
- The job description for the role. A detailed one gives a better draft: responsibilities, must-have and nice-to-have skills, location and level.
Steps
Open the agent builder
From the sidebar choose Agents, then Create agent. You land on the page that asks What role are you hiring for?
Paste the job description
Paste the full job description into the text area and click Draft screening. RoundOne reads it and drafts a requirements table. This takes ten to forty seconds.
Review the draft
The Build & launch page shows what was drafted:
- Requirements, each with an importance level, whether it is checked on the CV, and whether it is probed on the call.
- Knockouts, the must-haves that cap a candidate's score if missing.
- Voice and identity: the agent's name and voice for the call.
- Auto-advance: whether candidates above a score threshold are invited to the voice screen automatically.
Edit anything directly in the table, or ask the copilot in the side rail to make changes for you, for example make five years of care experience a knockout.
Launch
Choose how candidates are screened:
- CV only: free and unlimited. Candidates are scored on CV evidence alone.
- CV + Voice: CV screen first, then an AI voice call for candidates you invite or who pass auto-advance. Needs an active plan or trial.
Click Launch. The agent appears on your Agents list.
Add candidates
Open the agent and add candidates by uploading CVs, sharing the application link, or connecting your ATS. See Candidates for each option.
What happens next
Each CV is screened within about a minute. Candidates appear ranked by fit, with strengths and gaps listed against your requirements. RoundOne prioritises; you decide who moves forward.
Editing a live agent
Requirements, knockouts and auto-advance can be changed after launch from the agent's Criteria page. Existing candidates can be rescreened against the new criteria.
